India reacting to Turkish President's comments on Kashmir asks Turkey not to involve in India's internal matters
India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's comments on Jammu and Kashmir during his visit to Pakistan.
India has asked Turkish Leadership not to meddle with its internal affairs and asks him to check the facts on the issue. India said in its statement that the Turkish government should develop its understanding of facts. The Turkish President stated that Kasmir is a matter of concern to both Ankara and Islamabad. He said, "India rejects all references to Jammu & Kashmir, which is an integral and inalienable part of India”.
The MEA said that Turkey should get to know the serious threat posed by Pakistan's terrorism to India and the Kashmir region. It also said that it has rejected all references made by Turkish President about Jammu and Kashmir and said that it is an integral and internal part of India.
MEA's statement said, “We call upon the Turkish leadership to not interfere in India's internal affairs and develop a proper understanding of the facts, including the grave threat posed by terrorism emanating from Pakistan to India and the region.”
Turkish President for the fourth time repeated his country's support to Pakistan on the matters over Kashmir. He said, "We have never forgotten and will not forget the help, which the Pakistani people delivered, during our War of Independence by piling up their bread. Events that happened a hundred years ago in Aanakkale in Turkey are being repeated in Indian occupied Kashmir."
He also said that Kashmiri people are suffering from this consequence for decades and has become severe after India's new law.
