Corona Virus: Third Indian has been tested positive for corona virus who is on board the Japan Cruise Ship
A third Indian crew member has tested positive for the coronavirus who is on board on the Diamond Princess cruise ship which is quarantined for more than 2 weeks. The Indian Embassy said that all the 3 Indian crew members are currently undergoing treatment and are stable and improving.
The British Cruise ship, Diamond Princess which is docked at Yokohoma in Japan is under quarantine after a rapid increase in the coronavirus infection for the people on board. The ship is carrying 3700 passengers and among them 138 are Indians. Totally 220 members have tested positive including 3 Indians.
Binay Kumar Sarkar, a crew member went live on social media asking for help, to separate them from the rest of the crew. In the video, he said, "Please somehow save us as soon as possible. What's the point if something happens. I want to tell the government of India, Modi-Ji, please segregate us and bring us back home safely."
Today, Japan allowed 11 of the passengers who were unaffected by the virus to deboard the ship. They were asked to take the isolated government allocated rooms. They traveled from the ship to their rooms on a bus with proper protection and the driver was dressed in a protective suit with goggles and masks.
