Corona Virus: 2 passengers who arrived at Kolkata have tested positive for Coronavirus
Two passengers who arrived at Kolkata from Bangkok have tested positive for Coronavirus.
The passengers' names are Himadri Barman and Nagendra Singh said Kaushik Bhattacharjee, director of NSCBI Airport. Both of them who were sent to Beliaghata ID Hospital, Kolkata have been tested positive for Corona.
Now a total of 3 passengers have been tested for the coronavirus in Kolkata including a passenger called Anita Oraon had also tested positive during thermal scanning.
IndiGo airlines have already suspended its flights between Kolkata and Guangzhou till February 25, 2020, and from Guangzhou to Kolkata till February 26. China Eastern Airlines have also suspended its flights between India and China till February 29.
Another passenger who traveled from Bangkok to Delhi was suspected to have coronavirus was quarantined after the plane landed at the Delhi airport. Among the countries which are at risk, India ranks 17th based on the expected global spread of the virus which originated from the Wuhan province of China.
There have been 3 confirmed positive cases from Kerala till now in India. Among the other airports, Delhi International airport is at a high risk followed by Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. India had carried 640 Indian students from Wuhan, China on Sunday.
The deadly corona has killed more than 1350 people until now and has become one of the deadliest diseases that the world has ever seen.
