The Thai soldier has been shot dead by police after he killed 21 people in a shopping mall on Saturday.
An army soldier in Thailand who entered a shopping center fired indiscriminately on random people killing 21.
The soldier is identified as Jakraphanth Thomma who killed his commanding officer before stealing weapons from a military camp.
Many of the people in the shopping mall were held as hostage. It is said that the soldier came in a race car in the evening and started shooting randomly with the machine gun he had.
The mall is located about 250km from Bangkok in the town of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Lieutenant General Thanya Kiatsarn, commander of Thailand's 2nd Army Region, said that the shooter had been killed on Sunday morning.
The police have done a 12-hour man-hunt which ended around 9 a.m. local time.
