After the confirmation of two cases of corona in Telangana and Delhi, people have started to panic in various parts of the country. To control the outbreak of the virus, the Indian Government has made multiple steps and has issued various statements.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter this afternoon and said that there is no need to panic. He said that he had held various meetings with ministries and state governments to start working on measures to contain any possible outbreak.
PM Modi said, "There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection."
He has posted a few preventive measures including frequent washing of hands and covering the mouth with a tissue when sneezing or coughing. "Had an extensive review regarding preparedness on COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Different ministries and states are working together, from screening people arriving in India to providing prompt medical attention," the Prime Minister said.
Union Health Ministry on Tuesday has suspended all regular visas/e-visas granted on or before March 3 to nationals of Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan who have not yet entered India.
It also suspends visa on arrival (VoA) issued by March 3 to Japan and South Korea nationals who have not yet entered India. Those who have compelling reasons to travel to India should explain the reason and can get the visa approved by the Indian Embassy of that country.
Visas/e-visas granted to all who have traveled to China, Iran, Italy, South Korea, and Japan on or after February 1, and who have not yet entered India stand suspended with immediate effect.
It also said medical screening is compulsory for diplomats, officials of UN and other international bodies, Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cardholders and aircrew but exempted from the restrictions on entry.
The health ministry advises Indian citizens not to travel to China, Iran, South Korea, Italy.

It said, "Passengers of all international flights entering into India from any port are required to furnish duly filled self-declaration form (including personal particulars i.e. phone no. and address in India) and travel history, to health officials and immigration officials at all ports.
Passengers (foreign and Indian) other than those restricted, arriving directly or indirectly from China, South Korea, Japan, Iran, Italy, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan must undergo medical screening at the port of entry."
All the affected people are given proper treatments and the people who were in contact with the affected personals are closely monitored.
