The state Senate of the United States, Utah, has unanimously endorsed a law declaring that it is not a big crime to have marriage life with multiple men or women. Under current law, people who marry multiple people can face up to five years in prison.
According to the new law, having 2 marriage life is considered to be a minor offense such as traffic violations.
However, this will not be considered a crime only if multiple marriages happen with the consent of all the men and women involved in this relationship.
Marrying someone else without the knowledge of their spouse will continue to be a serious crime.
The House of Representatives has not yet ratified the law. The law comes into force only after the approval of the council.
